An increasing number of our photographers are moving into the world of digital SLR photography with an EOS camera, having never used an SLR in the past. Although most have used digital compacts much of the terminology relating to SLR photography is new and sometimes confusing to them. Although many digital compacts are very sophisticated there is still a big leap between the level of understanding needed between a digital compact and a digital EOS camera.
The 1000D and the 450D are ideal cameras for the first venture into the world of using a digital EOS, but to get the very best images from these superb cameras you need to understand the fundamentals of how the cameras work and how to utilise the different settings when taking different subjects. Not only do we look at all the main features of the cameras but we also teach you how to avoid the basic errors such as camera shake and give you lots of hints and tips on taking better images especially with the extensive range of automatic modes that are fitted to these products.
The 1000D is now Canon’s entry level digital SLR camera but it is still fully packed with an extensive range of features and overrides which means it can not only be used fully automatically but the photographer can take full control as their experience and knowledge grows. This new seminar will make sense of the terminology used every day with digital SLRs and give owners of these cameras a thorough grounding as to how their camera works and can be used as a lead onto other events in our program should you wish to enhance your photographic skills further.
No previous knowledge is required for this course and it is classroom based which allows us to cover a lot more ground than on the alternative Practical introduction to digital EOS which has a morning classroom session and an afternoon of practical photography.
