The advent of video shooting on digital EOS has brought about an exciting time for the enthusiast photographer, giving then the ability to shoot in two very different mediums on the same camera.
The cameras have also taken the movie industry by storm as these cameras realise techniques in shooting that have previously been unavailable, even using professional movie cameras costing many thousands of pounds. A lot of these special techniques revolved around lenses that many photographers take for granted everyday, as part of the “standard” outfits that we all carry around.
However, to a degree that’s where the problem starts. We all like to achieve professional results. This can be hard enough in stills photography but when we shoot video the techniques for shooting are very different to those that produce stunning still images.
This seminar looks at understanding all the key elements of what is needed to produce great video and how the shooting techniques vary from those that you are already familiar with. We also take a look at the thought process that goes on behind video, the extra equipment that you may need and how to set up the camera for the best results.
We are also going to take a look at the basics of handling the files that you shoot and basic editing and output of your results and how to solve the problems that you will come across
throughout that process.
The course assumes that you are a total novice to video, but we will assume a good level of photographic and camera use competency. If totally new to digital EOS we recommend that our understanding your digital EOS parts 1 & 2 are attended first before this event or that you have a good knowledge of all the areas that we cover on those events.
