This is a classroom based event which is suitable for those that have a basic grasp of how to use their camera in the green square, PIC and CA modes and can operate the menu systems.

It is also a good refresher course for those coming back to SLR photography or those that are transferring from film cameras.

Being completely classroom based means that we are able to cover more ground on this event than on its pratical counterpart "Taking control of your digital EOS."

  • Why Program mode is so effective and how to best use it

  • How to use Manual mode and when it needs to be used
  • What Depth mode does and how to use it effectively
  • How all the exposure settings relate to one another
  • Using exposure compensation to correct exposures effectively
  • How to operate the focusing system
  • How to cope with moving subjects
