A course that looks at how to shoot wildlife both in the wild and captivity and the techniques that you need to master to ensure success. We start with a short two hour theory session in the morning and then move outside so you can put the skills learnt into practice.
The event takes place at either bird reserves or zoos as this is the only way we can ensure that you have subjects to practice with. We will look at a wide range of topics ranging from lens selection through to camera set up for different subjects. We also look at framing and how to deal with different types of lighting.
We will also look at overcoming many of the problems faced when shooting in captivity, such as how to lose bars and get a clean background to the shot. The group size is kept to just 18 and we have two lecturers available throughout the event to provide help and guidance.

Delegates get the most benefit from the practical seminars if they have undertaken the core “understanding” courses in our seminar programme as we do not have time on these events to cover in detail the settings on individual models.
Please note that although we will have equipment with us that you can try, you must have your own equipment to use as it is for everyone to share, not for one person to have all day.
