How to photograph…

This section of our website is intended for use by our delegates as a reference centre to look up techniques for very specific types of photography. The sections all assume that you have completed a minimum of Understanding your digital EOS Parts 1 and Understanding your digital EOS Part 2 and therefore are fully familiar with the features on your camera, know what they do and how to set and apply them. As a result we do not discuss the individual features or cover how to set a feature.

The articles are based on how we shoot and the things that we would think about. As it is impossible to cover every situation for every subject it may be necessary to adapt what we have said for your own personal shooting preferences and for the prevalent conditions on the day. One thing that we always aim to do is to inspire our delegates to move their photography onto that next level, hopefully these pages can carry on that inspiration process that we hope our seminars have started.

We look at each topic as to what things need to be considered and highlight what overrides might need to be utilised to achieve successful results. At the bottom of each page we have listed relevant courses where you can learn more about these specific techniques.

The topics are all listed alphabetically, and we plan to add about 3 or 4 topics a month to the section. These will often be added as they are topical to that month or season.

Each page has illustrations and a gallery of 20 images to give you some inspiration for your own attempts.
