Enigma Training Productions

A new venture for Experience Seminars

Training DVDs

In 2009 we launched our first training DVD aimed specifically at the newcomer
to digital SLR photography with a digital EOS 1000D, 450D or 500D camera. This has proved to be such a success that we decided to extend the range of training courses on DVD to cater for the needs of photographers at all experience levels.

They are not designed to replace our successful seminar programme but to
enhance it and bring our training courses to an even wider audience. The training courses are based on our renowned training programme and are produced with the same care and attention to detail that we bring to our normal courses. They are produced by us in the UK so there are no “language” difficulties for the UK photographer.

They can be of great benefit to all photographers who can learn in the comfort
of their own home and they can also reinforce the things learnt on one of our normal courses. This will now be an ongoing programme with new DVDs in production the whole time so check back regularly or your monthly Experience Seminars newsletters for details of all new releases.

All DVDs can be purchased directly from us on-line (when released) or by calling our normal office numbers.  For UK orders £3.50 postage and handling applies to each order.  For overseas orders £6.50 postage and handling applies to each order.

A DVD applicable to any digital EOS in the range and is designed to build an in depth knowledge of photography. This will be vital to the newcomer to photography especially if they have only used a compact camera in the past.

It’s also ideal for the many photographers who are self taught and understand the basic terms but are struggling to make all the parts of photography work together.

We don’t just look at what the features such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO and depth of field do, but how they interact together and when the various settings should be used.

We also look at why, in some situations, it will be impossible to get great results and why. A chapter based course liberally illustrated with example pictures to get the point across.

Landscape photography needs a bit of thought, planning and persistence but when you get it right you can achieve some spectacular images.

The use of high ISO settings becomes important to keep shooting handheld but this is an aspect of photography where the tripod can come into its own. We cover a whole range of different subjects to tackle with your camera from interiors to fireworks and much more.

Interiors can be a difficult subject especially as you are invariably dealing with mixed lighting and large tonal range differences in your images. Tripods can play a valuable role especially in lowlight situations and the correct use of lenses is very important to record the interior as you want it to look. We also cover how the higher ISO settings on the new cameras can be invaluable if you need to keep shooting handheld.
