Unlike our seminars which are presented in a controlled environment these events take place outdoors and as such the activity levels and accessibility will vary from event to event. We try to make as many events as we can accessible to photographers of all mobility levels however some events are unsuitable for either disabled photographers or those who find walking on uneven, or uphill, terrain difficult.
Please check the activity level on each event if you have any mobility concerns and if in doubt please call us to discuss. For health and safety reasons if you are attending any event as a disabled person then we need to know in advance so that any necessary arrangements can be sorted out beforehand.
- Activity level 1
- Generally flat areas with paths which are suitable for wheelchairs or other disabled vehicles. Full access to refreshment areas and toilets for disabled photographers.
- Activity level 2
- Mostly flat areas with limited walking, however some parts will be slightly undulating without made paths and may be muddy. It may be necessary to bend down/kneel down to do some of the photography. Limited or no disabled facilities.
- Activity level 3
- Uneven terrain with long walks, up to 4-5 miles at some events. Can include very steep paths and narrow tracks. A good level of fitness and mobility is needed for these events. If the weather is inclement there is often little or no shelter. Good outdoor footwear and clothing is needed. Limited or no disabled facilities.
