A course designed for more advanced and professional photographers that want to make the most of the flash system that they own. We take a brief look at the mode usage with flash, although this is covered in depth on the Understanding your EOS flash system event. The course assumes a reasonable familiarity with the flash and takes time to look at what affects flash results and how to best utilise the features and overrides on both the flashguns and the camera that relate to flash usage.
We take a look at how to overcome the exposure issues that occur when utilising flash using the features that are provided by these sophisticated guns.
We look at the best ways of taking the flash away from the camera and look in depth at the use of wireless flash to control from one to many remote flash guns.
This is an advanced level flash course and as such we assume that photographers will have used flash to a reasonable degree and be familiar with the basics as to when flash should and should not be used and how to solve the common flash issues such as dark backgrounds, red-eye, shadows, harsh lighting. As a result none of these topics will be covered in this event. This is to allow time for the teaching of the more advanced techniques.
If it is the basics that you are looking for or are new to flash photography you will find the Understanding your EOS flash system more appropriate to your requirements and that event also is fully applicable to the 580 EX and 580 EX II flashguns.
